How to Get Started with a Trading Bot on NivelixPro: From the Free Demo to Your First Bot in Simulation
NivelixPro ·
If you are wondering how to get started with a trading bot without skipping steps, the order matters more than the speed. This guide walks through the whole path in NivelixPro: creating your account, exploring the free demo, testing your configuration in Simulation mode, passing the appropriateness test, creating your API keys and, only at the end, moving to real mode with small amounts.
This is educational content. It contains no promises of results and no recommendations on which configuration to use. NivelixPro is automation software for DCA and Grid bots: it does not hold your funds and it operates on your own exchange with your own keys.
The Path at a Glance
- Sign up and verify your email.
- Explore the 30-day demo.
- Test your configuration in Simulation mode (Launcher and DCA).
- Pass the appropriateness test.
- Create your API keys without withdrawal permission and link your exchange.
- Move to real mode with small amounts.
The first three steps use no real money. Steps 4 and 5 are requirements for creating new bots and plans in real mode.
Step 1: Sign Up for NivelixPro
Sign-up is free and does not ask for a card. On the access screen, in the Sign Up tab, you choose the Demo card ("No card · No commitment"), enter your email and a password (minimum 8 characters, with uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and a special character, for example @, $, !, %, , ? or &) and accept the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy. To tick each box, you first have to open the document and scroll to the end. There is also an optional checkbox, separate and unticked, to receive news by email. When you are done, you click START 30 DAYS FREE*.
You then receive a 6-digit code by email, which you enter on the "VERIFY YOUR EMAIL" screen. The code expires after 30 minutes. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder. If you enter an expired or incorrect code, the platform sends a new one to your email (at most one every few minutes): always use the latest one you received. You also receive a new code if you try to sign in without having verified the account.
Step 2: Explore the Free 30-Day Demo
The demo is designed for exploring, not for validating a strategy of your own. For 30 days:
- You see example bots that are already created and can check how they are configured.
- A guide agent shows you each section of the website.
- You go through every section with example content.
- No real money is traded and you do not connect your exchange.
The figures that appear (balances, profits, returns) are fictitious data to show the interface: they do not represent real or expected results.
Use these days to understand the vocabulary before touching anything. In the Launcher, where Grid bots are managed, look at the three columns of each level (drop, multiple and profit) and at Capital Verification. If you want the detail, there is the guide on how to set up a Grid bot step by step. And in the DCA tab you will see the other family of bots: scheduled buys of a fixed amount at a frequency you choose.
You can sign up for a plan at any time; there is no need to wait for the demo to end.
Step 3: Test Your Configuration in Simulation Mode
Precision matters here, because these are two different things:
- The demo is for exploring with example bots and fictitious data.
- Simulation mode, included in the plans, lets you test your own configuration: it works with a simulation balance and live prices, and it does not send orders to the exchange.
Simulation mode is available both in the Launcher (Grid bots) and in DCA plans. In the Launcher, the mode button switches between SIMULATION and REAL MONEY; in DCA plans you choose Simulation or Real when you create them.
Testing a bot in simulation helps you to:
- Check that you understand when it buys, when it sells and how much capital it commits.
- Spot configuration errors before they cost money.
- See how your table or plan behaves in a market you did not know in advance.
It also has limits worth keeping in mind: a simulation does not fully reproduce real execution (fees, liquidity, slippage, rejected orders) and a short period tells you little. We explain it in detail in how to test a trading strategy without real money.
One practical detail: your plan sets a maximum number of bots in the Launcher, and simulated, real and paused bots all count toward that maximum.
Step 4: Pass the Appropriateness Test
To create new Grid bots or DCA plans in real mode, and to make manual buys in real mode, the platform requires you to have passed the appropriateness test. It is a prior questionnaire that checks that you understand what you are going to automate and the risks involved. You do not have to wait until the end to find out about it: what the appropriateness test is and why it is required before trading in real mode explains it calmly.
Step 5: Create Your API Keys and Link Your Exchange
To link your exchange (the Link API option) you need an active plan. NivelixPro operates on your account through API keys that you create yourself at your exchange:
- Read and spot trading permissions.
- Never withdrawal permission.
- If your exchange allows it, restrict the key to the IP address the platform gives you.
The platform rejects keys with withdrawal permission, but it can only detect it on 6 of the 9 supported exchanges; on the other three it is not checked. That is why reviewing permissions is your job, not a guarantee from the platform. NivelixPro will never ask you for your exchange password, 2FA codes or keys with withdrawal permission. The full guide is in crypto API keys without withdrawal permission.
Also bear in mind that the availability of each exchange depends on your country: do not create new bots on one that cannot serve you.
Step 6: Move to Real Mode with Small Amounts
With a verified account, a plan, the test passed and your keys linked, real mode becomes possible. It is the first step with real money, so:
- Start with an amount whose loss you can bear. A small amount reduces the impact of a mistake, but it does not remove the risk of the trade.
- On real Grid bots you also need an SVR balance, a prepaid balance from which the fee for Grid bots in real mode is paid. If it runs out, the real bots are paused and neither buy nor sell until you top it up. DCA plans do not pay SVR.
- On Grid bots, check Capital Verification: the first buy may be small and, even so, the full table may require much more.
- Decide in advance what you will do if the price falls further than the table supports.
The most common slip-ups when starting out are collected in trading bot mistakes to avoid.
What It Costs to Get Started
- Sign-up and 30-day demo: free and no card.
- Annual plan, taxes included: Standard €100, Advanced €125 and Pro €150. It is what you need to link your exchange and trade in real mode, and it includes Simulation mode.
- SVR fee on Grid bots in real mode, deducted from the prepaid balance. See the current terms on the website.
Limits on bots, pairs and volume depend on your plan.
Checklist Before Moving to Real
- I have explored the demo and understand each column of a Grid bot and how a DCA plan works.
- I have tested my own configuration in simulation and I know that does not guarantee future results.
- I have passed the appropriateness test.
- I created the API key myself with read and spot trading permissions, without withdrawal permission, and I have checked the permissions at my exchange.
- My exchange can serve me in my country.
- I know how much capital the full table may end up needing and how much I can afford to lose.
- On real Grid bots, I have enough SVR balance and I know what happens if it runs out.
- I am starting with a small amount.
- I have a routine to check that the bot is still active, that the balance is sufficient and that the keys are still valid.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a card to sign up?
No. Sign-up is free and needs no card, and it includes the 30-day demo. To link your exchange and trade in real mode you need to sign up for a plan, which includes Simulation mode.
What can I do in the free 30-day demo?
Explore the platform with example bots and fictitious data, guided by an agent who shows you each section. No real money is traded and your exchange is not connected.
What is the difference between the demo and Simulation mode?
The demo is an exploration tour with example content. Simulation mode is included in the plans and tests your own configuration with live prices, without sending orders to the exchange.
What do I need to trade in real mode?
An active plan, the appropriateness test passed, API keys created by you without withdrawal permission and, on Grid bots, SVR balance. Even if you meet everything, trading in real mode can result in the loss of the capital invested.
How many bots can I have at the same time?
Your plan sets a maximum number of bots in the Launcher. Simulated, real and paused bots all count toward that maximum.
